ALAN CORBIERE TREATY HISTORY 1812 – 1850
Alan Corbiere is a well known historian and student of the history of Indigenous Peoples and the Anishinaabe Language. He also serves as an Assistant Professor at York University and has a Ph. D. History from York University, an MES from York University and a B. Sc., University of Toronto.
In early 2020 Alan was asked to present to the RHT Chief’s leadership group regarding the Robinson Huron Treaty as well as the time leading up to the creation of the treaty, to create a richer understanding and clearer context around historic events and the legacy of common cause within the member treaty nations.
