Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850 Gathering

Each year, Anishinaabe citizens, leaders, Elders, youth, and allies gather to reflect on treaty history, celebrate resilience, and reaffirm responsibilities to future generations.

Administration and Finance

The RHW secretariat provides governance, administrative, technical, event management, information technology, and financial administration support to the Robinson Huron Treaty First Nations.

Economic Development

Economic Development helps identify economic opportunities, organize regional participation, and advance initiatives that support long-term economic self-determination for the Anishinaabe Council Fires.

Equitable, Sacred, and Sustainable Use of Creator’s Gifts (ESSUCG)

The Robinson Huron Treaty territory is our Mother through which the Creator provides gifts to us and all our Relations. ESSUCG gathers information, data, and knowledge to guide how we use and share these gifts and protect our Mother.

Events and Engagement

The Events and Engagement program supports the planning and delivery of gatherings, initiatives, and community engagement activities across the Robinson Huron Treaty territory.

Inherent Rights and Jurisdiction

Inherent Rights and Jurisdiction oversees the settlement of internal and external disputes and transactions related to protecting Minigoziwin, our inherent right/sovereignty.

Treaty Research

The Use and Occupancy Mapping Program supports participating First Nations in documenting continued occupancy of their homelands and use of traditional resources in Robinson Huron Treaty territory. 

Youth Advisory

Created to champion the voices and priorities of Anishinaabek youth across the territory, the Youth Advisory is helping design and lead the first Robinson Huron Treaty Youth Gathering and co-developing a long-term Youth Engagement Plan.
